Responsibilities of Patients and Their Relatives

Providing Information

  • Patients must fully and accurately provide all information regarding their complaints, past illnesses, any previous inpatient or outpatient treatments, current medications (if any), and all other details related to their health.


Following Medical Advice

  • Patients are responsible for adhering to the treatment plan recommended by their attending physician and for allowing the healthcare personnel to carry out their duties in accordance with the doctor’s instructions.
  • Patients should carefully listen to and follow all advice regarding their treatment and medications, and consult their physician about any details they do not understand.


Refusing Planned Treatment

  • If a patient refuses the treatment planned by their physician, they are personally responsible for any consequences that may result from this decision.


Complying with Hospital Rules

  • Patients and their relatives are responsible for following and complying with the rules of the healthcare institution.
  • Patients must attend their appointments at the scheduled date and time and inform the relevant department in case of any changes.


Showing Respect

  • Patients and their relatives must refrain from any behavior that may violate the rights of other patients or hospital staff.
  • In cases where noise, smoke, or an excessive number of visitors may endanger other patients, they are required to comply with hospital regulations.


Infection Control

  • Patients and their relatives are responsible for following all precautions recommended to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.


Responsibility to Report Communicable Diseases

  • Patients who have previously been diagnosed with an infectious disease at another institution must inform their physician of their condition.
  • Patients suspected or diagnosed with an infectious disease should not request discharge from the hospital without an official clearance document issued by the authorized physician confirming that discharge poses no risk.


Payment Responsibility

  • Patients are responsible for paying the costs of examinations and treatments.
  • If patients or their relatives intentionally damage hospital property or supplies, they are required to cover the cost of the damages.


Visitor Responsibility

  • Patients should limit the number of visitors they receive at one time, ensure visitors do not bring food or drinks, avoid using belongings of other patients, and comply with the hospital’s designated visiting hours.


Avoiding Inappropriate Requests

  • Patients should not request the administration or use of any medication or treatment that has not been approved by the authorized physician or is not included in the prescribed treatment plan.
